Over the past few months, some individuals have been selling modern Rat Fink Ring knock-offs, and touting them as "Original, rare Rat Fink Rings from the 60's".  Don't be duped by these new knock-offs and the unscrupulous dealers selling them.

Below you will see a picture of the new modern fink (right) next to a real vintage 60's fink.

ALSO SEE SECOND CLOSE-UP PICTURE BELOW THIS ONE

Notice the many differences....

  • Fake is much larger

  • Fake's tail is not curved as much on end

  • Fake's tail is roundish, not flat like the original

  • Fake has toed feet, pointing forward, real fink has rectangular feet pointing side to side

  • Eyes on fake are typically not painted

  • Fake's eyes are set off to the left

And the most damning evidence that this fink is a fake is found on the back.....

How can a ring made in the 60's have a copyright notice form 1984 ???
Maybe Roth could travel in time to know a copyright would be issued in 1984 ???
I don't think so... THESE ARE FAKES !!!!!!  Avoid them, as they have no vintage collector value.
